PHILIPPINES, 14 AUGUST 2019 – HBO Asia announced today that principal photography has begun in Taiwan for the eight-part hour-long Mandarin romantic comedy series, ADVENTURE OF THE RING. Shooting will take place in Taipei till October 2019. Set and filmed in Taiwan, the series is scheduled to premiere next year across HBO Asia’s 23 territories on their on-air, online and on-demand platforms.

ADVENTURE OF THE RING tells the stories of different couples who come in contact with an engagement ring. On a morning commute, the ring is misplaced by a man on the day of his proposal, threatening to disrupt all his plans. Chris Wang 《宥勝》 (“Time Traveler”, “Love Family”) plays Yi Zhi, the man who loses the ring and Allison Lin《林予晞》 (HBO Asia Original “The World Between Us”, “Family Time”) is Lisa, Yi Zhi’s intended bride. As the search for the ring continues, Yi Zhi and Lisa re-examine what love means to them as the ring travels through the hands of other couples and impact their lives.

Helmed by Nelson Yeh 《葉天倫》 (“Far And Away”, “Mad King Of Taipei”) and directed by Golden Bell nominated director, Kitamura Tayoharu《北村豐晴》 (“Running Man”, “Q Series – Love Of Sandstorm”), the series stars Chris Wang 《宥勝》 (“Time Traveler”, “Love Family”) and Allison Lin《林予晞》 (HBO Asia Original “The World Between Us”, “Family Time”).

PHILIPPINES, 25 JUNE 2019 – Starring Sarah Jessica Parker (Emmy® and Golden Globe winner for HBO’s “Sex and the City”), who also serves as an executive producer, DIVORCE returns for its six-episode third season same time as the U.S. on Tuesday, 2 July at 10am, exclusively on HBO. PHILIPPINES, 24 JUNE 2019 – HBO Asia announced today that principal photography for its latest Asia Original, INVISIBLE STORIES, has begun for the six-episode half-hour drama series. INVISIBLE STORIES, a series that shines light into dark corners and tells untold stories from the heartlands and a fictional neighbourhood housing estate in multi-cultural Singapore, is scheduled to premiere later this year on HBO Asia’s on-air, online and on-demand platforms.

INVISIBLE STORIES brings to life stories of everyday people – their joy, their struggles, their sacrifice, with each episode following one neighbour as he or she navigates through everyday life and its challenges. These stories include a man who is a taxi driver by day and a spiritual medium by night; and a banker who is a father and husband but harbours a secret that comes to life late at night.

Featuring a regional cast from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore, Golden Horse Award winner Yeo Yann Yann (‘ILO ILO’, ‘881’ and ‘Singapore Dreaming’) and Taiwanese newcomer Devin Pan headline the first episode which revolves around the lives of a mother and her autistic son.

GAME OF THRONES: THE LAST WATCH – For those that are still reeling from the last episode of GAME OF THRONES, do not miss the HBO Original documentary, GAME OF THRONES: THE LAST WATCHwhich debuts same time as the U.S. at 9am on 27 May. The documentary delves deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields and car-parks of Northern Ireland. BIG LITTLE LIES Season 2– The new season of the HBO Original series BIG LITTLE LIES will continue to explore the malignancy of lies, the durability of friendships, the fragility of marriage and, of course, the vicious ferocity of sound parenting. With a stellar cast of Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Zoë Kravitz and Meryl Streep, season 2 will premiere 10 June same time as the U.S. at 9am exclusively on HBO. The episode encores that same night at 10pm on HBO with new episodes premiering weekly.

THE HANDMAID’S TALE Season 3 – Season 3 makes its anticipated return with three episodes on 6 June exclusively on HBO GO. A new episode of the 13-episode third season will premiere every subsequent Thursday. This season is driven by June’s resistance to the dystopian regime of Gilead and her struggle to strike back against overwhelming odds. Startling reunions, betrayals, and a journey to the terrifying heart of Gilead force all characters to take a stand, guided by one defiant prayer: “Blessed be the fight.”
  4. EUPHORIA – This brand new HBO Original drama series begins its eight-episode season on 17 June same time as the U.S. at 10am on HBO. New episodes premiere weekly. Following a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma and social media, the series will be executive produced by Drake, along with manager Future the Prince. The ensemble cast includes: actor and singer Zendaya, Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith and Sydney Sweeney.
  5. JETT – For non-stop adrenaline and heart-pumping moments, the CINEMAX drama series JETT is expected to hit those notes. Staring Carla Gugino as world-class thief Daisy “Jett” Kowalski, fresh out of prison, she is forced back into doing what she does best, and a cast of morally ambivalent, dangerous and eccentric criminals, from budding femme fatales to compromised law enforcers, are determined to exploit her skills for their own ends. JETT begins its nine-episode season, same time as the U.S. at 10am, on June 15 on HBO GO and CINEMAX.

CATCH-22– The highly anticipated comedy drama is executive produced, directed and stars Academy Award® and Golden Globe®-winning actor and producer George ClooneyFilmed in Rome and Sardina, Italy, CATCH-22 is based on the celebrated novel of the same name written by Joseph Heller which follows the adventures of a U.S. air squadron in Italy where the world is being torn apart by World War II and the abuse of power. While all six episodes were released earlier on HBO GO on 18 May, the series airs on HBO on 4 June at 9.15pm. New episodes premiere weekly.
