PHILIPPINES, 10 SEPTEMBER 2019 – HBO has renewed the comedy series THE RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES for a second season, it was announced by Amy Gravitt, executive vice president, HBO Programming.

“Danny, Jody and David are among our favourite collaborators and we’re thrilled that their take on a family comedy has been met with such enthusiasm,” says Gravitt. “We cannot wait to share the next steps in the Gemstone family’s epic journey. Hallelujah!”

THE RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES, starring Danny McBride, John Goodman, Edi Patterson and Adam Devine, kicked off its nine-episode season 19 August. Current season premieres same time as the U.S. every Monday at 10am exclusively on HBO. The episode encores on the same day at 11pm on HBO.

Telling the story of a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed and charitable work, the series was created by McBride (HBO’s “Vice Principals” and “Eastbound & Down”), who is an executive producer, director and writer. McBride collaborators Jody Hill and David Gordon Green also serve as executive producers and directors.

Well into the second generation of a grand televangelist tradition, the renowned Gemstone family is living proof that worship pays dividends in all sizes, including their megachurch. John Goodman, Edi Patterson, Adam Devine, Walton Goggins, Cassidy Freeman, Tony Cavalero, Tim Baltz and Greg Alan Williams also star.

THE RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES marks the third HBO series for the Rough House Pictures team of McBride, Hill and Green, following “Eastbound & Down” and “Vice Principals.” McBride wrote and directed the pilot, with Green and Hill splitting directing duties on the other eight episodes.

Season one credits: THE RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES is created and written by Danny McBride; directed and executive produced by Danny McBride, Jody Hill and David Gordon Green; executive produced by John Carcieri, Jeff Fradley and Brandon James; produced by David Brightbill; co-produced by Justin Bourret and Melissa DeMino; consulting produced by Grant DeKernion, Jared Hess, Kevin Barnett, Chris Pappas and Edi Patterson.

The Series Culminates On 20 May Same Time As The U.S. At 9am Exclusively On HBO

PHILIPPINES, 14 MAY 2019 – Following the penultimate episode premiere of GAME OF THRONES Season 8 yesterday, HBO has made available several behind-the-scenes videos regarding the episode.

David Benioff (Executive Producer, Writer) and D.B. Weiss (Executive Producer, Writer) break down Episode 5 in ‘Inside The Episode’ –

“Jon Snow is someone that she’s fallen in love with and as far as she’s concerned by this point Jon has betrayed her by telling people about his true identity, and also the fact that he’s unable to return her affections at this point. I think that when she says “let it be fear” she’s resigning herself to the fact that she may have to get things done in a way that isn’t pleasant and she may have to get things done in a way that is horrible to lots of people. She chose violence, and a Targaryen choosing violence is a pretty terrifying thing.”

“I don’t think she decided ahead of time that she was going to do what she did. And then she sees the Red Keep which is to her, the home that her family built when they first came over to this country 300 years ago. It’s in that moment on the walls of King’s Landing where she’s looking at that symbol of everything that was taken from her, when she makes the decision to make this personal.”

In addition, a 35-minute featurette, The Game Revealed Episode 5, delves into the astounding set builds, stunt work, and battles of “The Bells.” Production designer Deb Riley, SFX supervisor Sam Conway, VFX producer Steve Kullback, and prosthetics designer Barrie Gower give exclusive interviews alongside series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, episode director Miguel Sapochnik, actors Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and more to explain how the massacre of King’s Landing – from the destruction of the Iron Fleet, to the “Clegane Bowl,” to the fall of the Red Keep – came to life.

The series finale of the Emmy®-winning HBO Original series GAME OF THRONES premieres same time as the U.S. on Monday, 20 May at 9am exclusively on HBO.

New trailer for the final episode can be viewed here.

Based on the popular book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” by George R.R. Martin, this HBO award-winning fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent kingdom. Members of the ensemble cast for the eighth season include Emmy® and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams.

There’s a moment where they’re kissing and it seems like things are kind of getting to where they were but it’s almost as if he remembers all the sudden what she really is. It’s tense for him. For her, she grew up hearing all these stories about how their ancestors who were related to each other were also lovers and it doesn’t seem that strange to her, for him it is a strange thing. Once Dany introduces the idea that everything can be as it was if John keeps this secret button down and tells no one. She’s introducing a conflict that plays forward.”

And on Brienne and Jaime – “The vulnerability that they show runs very counter to who they are as people. I do believe it when Jaime decides to stay behind with Brienne, it’s a choice that he makes with every intention of seeing it through. When he hears what Cersei is done, I think that’s the turning point for him. At that point, Jaime really has to take a really long, uncomfortable look at who he really is. As much as Jaime cares for Brienne and admires her and loves her, he’s got almost an addiction to Cersei that he just can’t break. So even though he’s given a kind of a chance at happiness and some kind of different life for himself, he can’t take it – he makes the choice to go back to Cersei.”

In addition, an 18-minute featurette, The Game Revealed: The Last of the Starks, offers fans exclusive insights into how Game of Thrones’ “The Last of the Starks” came together. Featuring interviews with director David Nutter, creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, actors Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and more, Episode 4 of this behind-the-scenes series takes viewers through the funeral and feast at Winterfell, Euron taking on Daenerys’ fleet, and Cersei’s power move.
